Francis W. Mahoney, 55, of 66 Tower St. was dead on arrival yesterday at Hahnemann Hospital after being stricken at home. Mr. Mahoney was a press operator for the National Perforating Co. in Clinton for 18 years. He leaves his wife, Irene E. (Cloutier) Mahoney of Worcester; three daughters, Kathleen P., wife of James J. Nitti of Auburn and Irene A. Dadah and Coleen J. Burbo, both of Worcester; three brothers, Philip Mahoney of Phoenix, Ariz., Thomas Mahoney of Worcester, and James Mahoney of Whitinsville; a sister, Nora, wife of Lloyd Hyde of Gainsville, Ga.; and 10 grandchildren. Mr. Mahoney was a World War II Army veteran. He was born in Worcester, a son of Thomas and Agnes (St. John) Mahoney. The funeral will be held tomorrow from Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., with a Mass at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Church, 351 Grove St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Immaculate Conception Church. |
