ARLENE V BERGERON (DURANT )

Arlene (Durant) Bergeron, 86, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 after a period of declining health. She was born in Lincoln, NH on November 10, 1928 to Edward and Mary Rose (Gatein) Durant and was a longtime resident of Oakham.

Arlene is survived by her husband of 66 years, Richard Bergeron; a son Richard Bergeron & his wife Tina of Nalcrest, FL.; a daughter Diane Croteau & her husband Gene of Auburn, MA, a son Michael Bergeron & wife Ann of Sumter, SC.; a daughter Christine Carter & husband Edward of Newfane,VT.; 13 grandchildren and many great. She was predeceased by her brother George and sister Margie.

Arlene was a homemaker most of her life and worked as a home health aide for several years. She loved to knit and crochet, enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She was a long time member of the Barre Senior Center and was extremely active crocheting and donating afghans, mittens and hats to charity.

Her service and burial will be private and there will be no calling hours. Pillsbury Funeral Home 44 Gilbert St. North Brookfield is honoring her wishes.In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to VNA hospice or Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
