Bernadette Jeanne (DeFosse) Marin, 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Sterling Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sterling. Born in Worcester, she was the cherished daughter of the late Ernest C. and Bernadette M. (Phenix) DeFosse. A devout member of St. George Parish, Jeanne’s faith was central to her life. She was deeply involved in the St. George Church Eucharistic Chapel and served as past president of the Women’s Guild. Jeanne’s greatest joy, however, came from the time she spent with her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took immense pride in her loved ones. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Arthur V. Marin, in 2000, and her brother, Donald DeFosse. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her children: Arthur N. Marin of Holden, Richard D. Marin and his wife Cheryl of Holden, Michele M. Marin of Jefferson, and Denise E. Donohoe and her husband Barry of Paxton. Jeanne will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Danielle McAuliffe, Ryan Donohoe, Richard Marin, Michael Marin, Andrew Marin, and Brianna Marin, as well as her eight great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are private and entrusted to Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Truro Conservation Trust, P.O. Box 327, North Truro, MA 02652. |
