Stanley F. Dogil, Sr. of North Grafton, MA, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025, after a short battle with Leukemia. Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Gail (Nardella), sons Stanley F. Jr. and his wife Nancy of Salem, NH, and Mark A. of Grafton, MA. He leaves his stepsons Frank G. Beshai, IV and his wife Elizabeth, and Joseph J. Beshai, all of North Grafton, his 6 grandchildren Ryan, Colleen, James, Brittany and Brandi Dogil, Delaney Beshai, and his dear great granddaughter who was the light of his life, Sophia. He leaves a sister Phyllis Ropi of CT, brother Philip of OK, and 3 nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Stanley J. and Phyllis (Susskey), formerly of Uxbridge, MA. After graduating St. Mary’s High School in Uxbridge, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, and later stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War era. He was honorably discharged after serving for 5 years. He later earned an associate degree in business from Newbury College. He went on to become a salesman at the former Sears Roebuck Company for 53 years, selling vacuum cleaners, sewing machines, and appliances to thousands of customers in central Massachusetts. He was well known as “Stan the Vac and Stitch Man.” He later worked at Better Electric in Worcester before retiring in 2019 due to health issues. He was an enthusiastic NY Yankees fan and stamp collector. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Stanley’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Wednesday, January 15th from 5 – 7 PM at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St N. Grafton, MA 01536. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 16th at St. Mary’s Church in North Grafton. Interment will be at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. |
