Maurice Sachs, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, with his beloved wife by his side. Born in Cairo, Egypt, Maurice was the son of Raymond and Rosette (Bandao) Sachs and had lived in Worcester for the past 40 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife and best friend of 15 years, Hannah (Bienczak) Sachs; his two daughters, Rachelle St. Laurent and Naomi Sachs, both of Oxford; his stepchildren, Alice F. Phillips of Woodstock, CT, Cathlene J. Mahoney of Yucca, AZ, and Adam F. Phillips of Webster; his sister, Sheila Edison of New York; his cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Sydney along with other cherished stepchildren and step grandchildren including several nieces and nephews. After graduating high school in Worcester, Maurice enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he proudly served his country for over 20 years, retiring as a sergeant in 1988. He will be remembered for his kind, loving, and thoughtful nature. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton. Memorial contributions may be made in Maurice’s honor to the Temple Emmanuel Sinai at 661 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home of Holden. |
