Craig R. Manfield, 54, of Spencer, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, September 20th. He leaves his wife of 25 years, Kathryn (Tamulis) Manfield; his daughters, Abigail of Queens, NY, Elizabeth and Emily of Spencer; his mother, Madeleine M. (Gosselin) Manfield of Charlton; his sister, Carolyn A. Manfield and her fiancé, Jeff Barber of Spencer; Brothers-in-law; Sisters-in-law; eight nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family. He is predeceased by his son, Ryan Christopher Manfield. Craig retired from the United States Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer after 26 years of dedicated service, one of his proudest accomplishments. His bond with his Navy family and the Chief’s Mess was unbreakable, and his years of service remain a testament to his commitment. Craig continued to serve his community and country by working with FEMA for over 20 years. He was activated to various disaster areas across the nation, where he found deep purpose and fulfillment in his work, often being the calm in the storm. In his free time, Craig enjoyed woodworking in his workshop, creating beautiful pieces by hand. He loved sharing classic movies with his girls and was often engrossed in old military movies and documentaries. He was a devoted dog lover, always accompanied by his best friends, Rosie and Mark. Above all, Craig cherished his time at home, surrounded by his family, creating memories filled with love and laughter. Craig’s kindness, dedication, and love touched the lives of many, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. |
