Javon Tristan Holmes, 34, of Worcester, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from complications of lupus. JT, as he was affectionately called by family and friends was born in Worcester on November 15, 1989, to Craig Holmes, Sr. and Samona (Bracey) Hammond. Raised in Worcester, Javon was a graduate of South High School and after graduating he spent a year at Quinsigamond Community College. Javon went on to work successfully in sales throughout his adult life. JT will be fondly remembered for his kind heart, empathy, and generosity, JT cherished his family; he was a wonderful brother who was always there to support his siblings and those he loved. JT loved to play games on his PS5 and would never say no to a good poker game. JT loved sports but his first love was basketball; he loved to go to various courts throughout the city and play pickup basketball and he was an avid basketball fan with his favorite team being the Boston Celtics. In addition to his beloved parents, JT is survived by his loving siblings, Craig R. Holmes, II, Shaenna Holmes, and Madison Pressey-Holmes; his adored maternal grandparents, Sam, Jr and Gloria Bracey; his cherished aunts and uncles, Celeste Holmes, Shane Holmes, Kimberly Pitts, Brian Pitts, Bonita Bracey, Rané Bracey-Westbrook, Yolana Bracey Thompson; his beloved nephew, Bobby Skinner, Jr. and a niece, Valencia Franco; his close cousins, Epi Ortíz, Shaelína and Sade Holmes and Jordan Strong; and a host of other family and friends. JT was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Richard C. Holmes and grandmother Carole A Pike. Calling Hours for Javon will be on Wednesday, June 26th, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church, 55 Illinois St, Worcester, with a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. |
