Darren F. Sieger, 38, beloved son of Keith and Sonia Sieger, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
Born in Worcester and raised in Rutland, he was a graduate of Bay Path Regional High School, Class of 2003. After graduating, Darren enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country. Darren was a loving and devoted father to his two children, Nathan and Jasmyne. He loved spending time outdoors and frequently could be found hiking, kayaking, or camping with his kids. He was an extremely hard worker and always did more than he was asked to do. He was kind and compassionate, always the first to volunteer for a difficult task. Darren was known for his unbelievable escapades. Whether it be paragliding through the skies of Warren, or tirelessly chasing his goats, pigs, and chickens through the town of Gilbertville, Darren always had a story. He was happiest spending time with his family on the beaches in Gloucester. He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his two children, Nathan and Jasmyne Sieger; his parents, Keith and Sonia (Strachan) Sieger, his brother, Dean Sieger and his partner, Chelsea Carr, his nephew, Brody Sieger; his sister, Kaelyn Deeds and her husband, Cody, all of Gloucester; his maternal grandmother, Violet Latulippe and her husband, Gary of Templeton; and his paternal grandmother, Phyllis Sieger of Westborough. He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Robert Sieger, and his maternal grandparents, Alexander and Carol Strachan. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Semper Fi & America’s Fund, which serves wounded veterans.
