Jeanne G. (Prunier) Ducasse, 75, of North Grafton, formerly of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at UMass Hospital in Worcester. Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of nearly fifty-four years, Roger N. Ducasse; their children, Karen M. Gilfoy and her husband Sean of Worcester, Kerry Henry and her husband Steven of Auburn, Kenneth D. Ducasse and his wife Jennifer of Dudley, and Michael A. Ducasse of Worcester; two brothers, Adrien Prunier and his wife Janet of Grafton and Omer Prunier, Jr. of Auburn; three sisters, her twin Janet Prunier, Marguerite Baril and her husband Ray, and Anne Marie Gonyea, all of Grafton; six grandchildren, Jason and Emily Henry, Allison and Tyler Gilfoy, Daniel and Sarah Ducasse; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister in law, Ellen (Enman) Prunier and by a niece, Suzanne Prunier. Jeanne was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Omer and Olive (Gemme) Prunier, and lived on the same street for most of her life, before moving to Grafton nine years ago. Jeanne worked for many years as a bookkeeper at the former Elwood Adams Hardware and for New England Carpenters Training in Millbury. She was a life-long member of Saint Joseph Church, Holy Family Parish in Worcester and sang for many years in the church choir. Jeanne loved baking bread and sharing the fruits of her labors with others. She volunteered with the Grafton Food Bank and was a faithful weekly volunteer at Arch Angel Saint Raphael Holy Healing Ministry for 6 years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Calling Hours for Jeanne will be on Thursday, June 8, from 4 pm until 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be on Friday, June 9, departing the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. in procession to a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Saint Joseph Church, Holy Family Parish, 35 Hamilton Street, Worcester. Interment at Worcester County Memorial Park will be done privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be to the New England Hemophilia Association (NEHA).
