RICHARD F BECKER

Richard F. Becker, 83, passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2023. His wife of 53 years Maeve N. (Hastings) Becker predeceased him. He leaves siblings Kenneth and John Becker, Joan E. Murray, and Barbara Carlin, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Phillip Becker.

Richard was born in Worcester, son of the late Karl and Viola (Samuelson) Becker. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School, Worcester Jr. College, and Quinsigamond Community College. He worked as a Methods Engineer at Morgan Construction Co. for many years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed fishing and reading. His interests included gunsmithing, old sailing ships, model making, and nature survival.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 8:00- 9:30 a.m in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Church.
