Joan M. Kimball, 88, of North Brookfield, passed peacefully in her sleep at her apartment at River Ridge @ Avon Assisted Living Facility in Avon, CT on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Joan was born in Worcester,MA. the daughter of the late Leo and Beatrice ( Lamarche) Lapierre and has lived in North Brookfield for over 61 years. She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law James & Kim Kimball of Woodstock, GA; her daughter and son-in-law Gary & Jean Redekas of Tariffville, CT; grandchildren & their spouses:Jacqueline & Alberto Calderon of East Hartland, CT,Rhianna & Rob Pluciennik of Hampden, MA,Stephen & Lauren Redekas of West Granby, CT,Erica Kimball of Hampden, MA, Cassandra & David White of Marietta, GA, and Cory & Miranda Kimball of Jasper, GA; eleven great grandchildren: Sofia and sister Emma Calderon,Amelia & sister Emory and brother Benjamin Pluciennik; Grace and sister Abigail Redekas, Anja Wingfield & her sister Berlin Maynard, Elena White and Holly Kimball. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John J. Kimball, who passed in 2009; 2 children during birth in 1958 and 1959 and her brother Richard Lapierre who passed in 2021. Joan’s last job position was working at St. Joseph’s Abby in Spencer, MA as a custom tailor of priests vestments. She enjoyed her crafts, sewing projects and she was also involved for many years at the Oakham Senior Center. She loves the Lord Jesus Christ and was very active at the First Congregational Church in North Brookfield, MA up until the time she moved to CT to be closer to her daughter. Friends and family are invited to attend a calling hour on Tuesday, September 27,2022 from 10:30-11:30AM in Pillsbury Funeral Home 44 Gilbert St. North Brookfield. The funeral will follow at 11:30AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. |
