Kathleen E. (Ross) Healy, 69, of Worcester passed away on August 16, 2022. Kathy was born to parents, Vincent and Virginia Ross, in Worcester. She was the second of six children: Ellen, Kathy, Theresa, Vincent, Jeanette, and Chris. As a child, Kathy was always outdoors playing with her siblings and friends in the neighborhood. Growing up in Shrewsbury, she attended and graduated from Shrewsbury public schools. Following her high school graduation, Kathy immediately went into the workforce. She worked as an office administrator for many years. Upon her retirement from her career in office administration, Kathy began her real passion. She became a caregiver to the elderly, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a sweet, caring person who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. She was an active member of St. Patrick’s parish and specifically enjoyed participating in the cake walk because of the smiles she’d see on children’s faces when they received their cakes. In her spare time, Kathy was an avid gardener who enjoyed basking in the sun. From her childhood pet squirrel, Fella, to her rescue cat, Riley, Kathy loved animals of all kinds. She maintained a close relationship of over 50 years with her childhood friends: Carla, Mary, and Kevin who never lost touch with her. Kathy is predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Virginia Ross and her younger sister, Theresa Bell. She is survived by her siblings, Ellen Ross; Vincent and his wife, Terry Ross of Virginia; Jeanette and her husband, Bob Hoch of Rutland; and Chris and his wife, Lee Ross of Rutland. Kathy is also survived by a host of loving family members and friends. The family would like to thank the Notre Dame staff for their dedication to Kathy’s care. The family welcomes all who knew and cherished Kathy to Calling Hours at 5pm – 7pm on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Please join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church of Rutland at 11am on Saturday, August 20, 2022, with burial to follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton.
