Robert D. “Butch” Burdick and Shirley E. (Erickson) Burdick passed away within days of each other. Butch and Shirley were looking forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on February 26, 2022. They have known each other since grade school. During the end of the 60s they found love or love found them. They complimented one another very well and shared each other’s passions . Together they built a home from the ground up. They were avid gardeners and loved spending time at home working together in the yard. They took a lot of pride within their community. If they weren’t volunteering, they were helping family and friends. Butch was a carpenter working both non-union and union jobs, retiring from the Carpenter’s Local 107. Butch was a true patriot and loved his country. He also enjoyed talking about politics. He loved fishing and spending time building garden decorations and bird houses. He was a master mechanic at so many different levels. He could take on any task to completion. He would spend many hours in his garage with his music cranked, whistling. There was no music you couldn’t find in his collection. Butch was a true motorhead from working on his 1934 Ford Coupe and his Harley Davidson motorcycle to watching Nascar racing on TV.
