John V. Brunelle, 94, died peacefully on the morning of Monday, March 21, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He was born in Clinton, the son of the late John and Fabiola (Lavigne) Brunelle and has lived in Rutland for 80 years. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He went on to own and operate Brunelle Dairy Farm in Rutland for many years. John was a devoted and beloved member of Holden Chapel for the last 45 years. He served as a Deacon and more recently as an Elder of the Church. John was a proud Mason and member of Rufus Putnam Lodge A.F. and A.M. in Rutland. He had a passion for golf and enjoyed being a member of Bedrock Country Club. John will be lovingly missed and remembered by his beloved wife of 13 years, Janice E. (McMahon) Brunelle of Rutland; his brothers, Raymond Brunelle of West Brookfield and Richard Brunelle of Ormand Beach, FL; his sister, Mildred Reed of Warren; 20 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his first wife, Marjorie Loudon; and his brother, Armond Brunelle. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Holden Chapel, 279 Reservoir St., Holden.
