We sadly say goodbye to Pauline “Penny” T. (Courteau) McKeon, 86, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 22, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital after an illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Wilfred and Rose (Jette) Courteau and had lived most of her life in East Brookfield. Her loving husband of 58 years, William R. McKeon, passed away in 2013. She leaves her children, Thomas McKeon and his wife, Wanda of Barre, Theresa Goguen of East Brookfield, Deborah Chartier and her husband, Raymond of West Brookfield, Patricia Adams and her husband, Darrell of Caribou, ME, Timothy McKeon and his wife, Dawn of East Brookfield and Kim Choquette and her husband, Brian of Bolton. She also leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her beloved cat, Lucy. She was predeceased by her grandson, Bradley Dillon, her sister, Phyllis Peters, and her son-in-law, Raymond Goguen. Penny was an avid gardener and enjoyed sitting outside on Sunday mornings with her family, playing cards and Michigan Rummy. She wanted to thank everyone who helped her during her illness. She will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 25th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Penny will be held on Tuesday, October 26th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Blaine Ave. East Brookfield. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. |
