In 1993 Kathy moved to the Seven Hills Foundation group home on Marble Street, Worcester where she lived until the group home relocated to West Boylston in 2016. As a child, she vacationed on Great Pond in the Belgrade Lakes, Maine with her parents and sister, Linda. Kathy became an accomplished operator of her father’s 18′ inboard Penn Yan and her own 15′ Lyman outboard. She also enjoyed swimming, rowing and water skiing at the lake. When the family moved to a farm at Breezy Bend, Leicester, Kathy became an avid gardener and cat owner. Kathleen also loved to travel with her family, visiting many cities throughout the continental United States as well as, one of her favorite places, Hawaii. Later in life she toured England and Ireland with her sister and cousins, visiting the Gap of Dunloe, Blarney Castle, Stonehenge and Shakespeare’s home. Ms. Callan is survived by her sister, Linda, her cousins, Elaine Foster and Richard Dennis, her Aunt Rita Callan, various other relatives and her group home family. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a private burial will be held at a later date. |
