Joseph T. Duggan III, 66, of Shrewsbury, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 25th 2021 at his home. Joe was born in Worcester, son of the late Joseph T. Duggan Jr. and Marie I. (Delaney) Duggan and is survived by three brothers, Herb Duggan and his partner Joan Shea of Auburn, Richard Duggan of Worcester and Patrick Duggan of Grafton; a sister, Lisa LaPrade of Providence, RI and many nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by a brother, John Duggan; a sister, Patricia Duggan and a nephew Matthew Duggan. Mr. Duggan graduated from the former Worcester Boy’s Trade High School and attended Worcester Junior College. He was a structural engineer and owned and operated JD Contracting his biggest and best customer being David “Duddie” Massad who grew to be Joe’s best friend. He had a passion for flying both helicopters and airplanes and owned K&R Aviation out of Worcester Airport. Joe had a heart of gold and was always there to lend a helping hand whenever asked, he always cherished the time he was able to spend with his family and friends. All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church 555 Pleasant St. Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton at a later date. Family and friends may pay their respects beginning at 10:30 prior to the funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a later date when people can gather and remember the fun times they had with Mr. Duggan. Anyone that is unable to attend the funeral services may watch them live on Friday at 11 AM by visiting his online obituary on the funeral home website. Social distancing guidelines and face coverings in accordance with CDC guidelines will be in effect for the funeral services.
