ALBERT VEZINA

      Albert Vezina, 93 of Worcester MA, died March 30, 2021, after a short illness, at home with his wife by his side. He leaves his wife, Zera Martinez of two years, two daughters, Jeannine, wife of Frank Michalak of California and Janice Korona of Chicopee, MA, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Albert was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Vezina of Rhode Island.  He was predeceased by his brother, Ernest, his former wife, Doris (St. Martin) Vezina who died in 2020 and a longtime friend Beverly LaRoche, who died in 2012.

Albert was a machinist at the former Heald Machine Co. and Hobbs Manufacturing Co.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.  He also was a keyboard musician and entertainer and worked in many clubs in Worcester and surrounding areas.  He was a member of the American Legion and a longtime member of the former Notre Dame Church.

Inurnment with military honors will take place on Friday, April 9, 2021 at noon at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, section Heritage I.  Arrangement are under the direction of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave. Worcester, MA.
