Anthony L. Ferigno, 93, of Worcester passed away peacefully Saturday, April 3, 2021 after a period of declining health. Anthony was born in Milford, the son of Frank and Josephine (LaPreste) Ferigno. He attended Milford Schools, leaving early to join the U.S. Navy during World War II serving his country proudly aboard the Destroyer Escort USS Otterstetter. Upon discharge and return home, He met and later married the “Love of his Life” Evelyn P. Wells. They settled in Worcester raising their family with Love, dedication, and family for over 70 years. He began his employed years working for Framingham Hat, before founding and serving as president for over 30 years for A. Ferigno Construction before retiring. Tony is survived by his wife Evelyn: His two children, Mary Lou Vitone and her husband Bruce of Clinton, and Mark W, Ferigno of Worcester; His former Daughter in law, Lisa Ferigno; a sister, Margaret Fedolfi of Framingham; a sister-in-law, Marie Gibree; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A brother, Benjamin and sister, Mary Diana predeceased him. Tony was a member of St Stephen’s Church, the Pope John Council Knights of Columbus, the Eastside Post 201 American Legion, and the Worcester Order Sons of Italy in America. Tony always had a smile, a great sense of humor and huge heart. He was always willing to help someone that needed a hand. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 9:30 am to 11:00 am Tuesday, April 6, 2021, followed by a service at 11am. In the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial with U.S. Navy Honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. The family request that flowers be omitted. |
