Christopher P. Daley, 47, of Worcester, died Tuesday, February 2, at St. Vincent Hospital after a battle with cancer. He leaves his daughter, Katlyn; his father, Kevin L. Daley and his wife Frances McShera Daley; siblings, Rebecca Matthews and her husband Kevin, Michelle L. Daley, Sean P. Daley and his wife Laurie, all of Worcester, Sheila M. Daley of Los Angeles, CA; his step-siblings, Jennifer Roca of Attleboro, Michael “Spike” Keating, Tara Barranco and her husband John all of Worcester; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends. Chris was born in Worcester, son of Kevin L. Daley and the late Patricia A. (St. Hilaire) Daley. He was a graduate of Burncoat Senior High School and worked as an assembly technician at Primetals Technologies. Chris was totally devoted to his daughter Katlyn. At an early age she was his fishing buddy at Flint Pond. Winter months would find her riding shotgun in his truck as he plowed. From the time she started playing softball, Chris was always there, from Little League to independent travel teams. Right through high school, Chris was at every game until he took sick. He was her biggest fan. Chris enjoyed camping trips to New Hampshire with “the guys” and camping with Katlyn and their friends at Bourne Scenic Park on The Cape Cod Canal. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky to know him. Calling hours will be held Monday, February 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. Mask wearing and social distancing will be required. Other services are private. |
