LUNENBURG/PAXTON – Richard Synkoski, 32, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, April 15, 2019 with his beloved wife, Lauren and family by his side at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. Born in Worcester and raised in Paxton, Rick is the son of Richard J. and Barbara A. (Malecki) Synkoski of Paxton. Rick was a graduate of St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, class of 2005. He attended Columbia University and graduated with honors from the Eisenberg School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2010. Rick was a Senior Apple Care Advisor at Apple Inc. where he worked the last 8 years. Rick married the love of his life and best friend, Lauren E. Beaver, last October 27th after a 13-year courtship. Along with their labradoodle, Marlow Rose, Rick and Lauren shared a home filled with laughter and love, where Rick always had music playing and the Red Sox game on TV. He loved hosting guests, cooking something delicious and creating original cocktails. Rick enjoyed skiing, photography, brewing beer, and camping wherever he could drive Lauren with a car full of camping “necessities.” He was a long-time member of the Paxton Boy Scouts and earned the designation of Eagle Scout in 2005. Rick was thoughtful, kind natured, and enjoyed the company of others. A truly humble person, Rick had confidence in his best self, and could talk an ear off regarding just about anything. He was gentle and soul-filled, not afraid to show affection or deep love, and his bear hugs were the absolute best. Besides his parents, Rick will be affectionately remembered and missed by his loving wife, Lauren E. (Beaver) Synkoski; aunts and uncles, Stanley and Jean Synkoski of Florida; Paul and Diane Salek of Oxford; three cousins, Stanley Synkoski and his wife Jessica, Kathleen Mitchell and her husband Mark, and Elizabeth Ward and her husband Leland; father and mother-in-law, Dale and Paula Beaver of Sterling; sister-in-law, Megan Beaver; and many extended family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rick’s family from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, April 19, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service honoring his life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 20, at the funeral home. |
