Chester “Chuck” R. Mason, Jr., 54, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus. Born and raised in Sterling, he was the son of the late Chester Mason Sr. and Cecile (Frechette) Mason. After graduating from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School in 1983, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. For the past 9 years, Chuck loved his job at All Points Limousine and even more so, his colleagues who he considered to be part of his family. He really enjoyed driving for special occasions like weddings, always going the extra mile to make a bride-to-be feel important. He took pride in the services provided to business and personal clients alike. Chuck was also a past member of the Sterling Lions Club. Family meant everything to Chuck. Along with his drivers cap, he often wore a pink tie for cancer awareness in memory of his sister Lori Ann, and purple in memory of his mother Cecile. While the loss of Chuck brings great sadness to his family, they take comfort in knowing that he has found joy once again as his parents and sister welcomed him to his eternal home. He will be lovingly missed by his three sisters, Pamela Mason and her life partner, Joey Smiley of Golden Valley, AZ, Bonnie Stevens and her husband, Douglas of Port Kent, NY and Amy Pineo and her husband, Michael of Sterling; several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles and countless friends and of course, his beloved dog, Rosie. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his sister, Lori Ann Amons who passed away in 2016. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, March 13th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14th at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Following the service, Chuck will be laid to rest beside his parents at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Veterans Inc., 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605, Animal Shelter Inc. (Sterling Animal Shelter), 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564 |
