Robert J. “Bobby G” Greene, 56, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 under the care of hospice at The Hermitage of Worcester, surrounded by his loving family after an illness. He leaves his two daughters- Tara and her husband John Cudmore of Millbury and Amanda Greene of Clinton; 5 grandchildren- Alyson, Jackson, Alana, Zane, and Luciana; siblings Kim , Michael and Christine Ritchotte, Darlene Ward and her husband David; a brother-in-law Kevin Glidden; his step-father Paul Richotte; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was pre-deceased by siblings Scott Greene, Jeffrey Ritchotte, Mark Greene, and Robin Glidden. “Bobby G” was born in Worcester, son of the late Ronald Greene and Louise (Willet) Ritchotte. He attended Fanning Trade High School where he discovered his passion for culinary and hospitality. For the past 30 years, Robert worked at the Grill 57 Restaurant, where he was affectionately known as “Chef Bob”. Anyone he encountered as a stranger always left feeling like family. He enjoyed spending time with his family celebrating holidays, cookouts, the beach, and especially pool parties. Bobby G was iconic and knew how to make everyone feel welcomed The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at St. V’s Hospital for their compassionate care of Bobby G. during his illness. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bobby G’s memory may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League. |
