Lawrence “Larry” E. Bourget, 80, formerly of Millbury, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 14th 2019, surrounded by his family in UMASS Memorial Medical Center. Larry leaves his wife of 59 years, Mary R. (White) Bourget; five children, Christine Jaber and her husband, James of Ohio, Linda Brodeur and her husband, Bob of Worcester, Lawrence Bourget, Jr. of Worcester, Ellen Luperchio and her husband, Anthony of Webster and Colleen Brown and her husband, Michael Brim of Arkansas; four grandchildren, Hisham and Maher Jaber, Robert Brodeur and Katie Brim; two brothers, Thomas Bourget of NC and Albert Bourget of Holden; a sister, Rosemarie Direnzo of Millbury; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Katharine (Vassar) Bourget; three brothers, Philip, George and Richard Bourget. Larry owned and operated Bourget Trucking where he hauled aggregate. He later bought plowing and sanding equipment for the winter months. Larry plowed and sanded for the city of Worcester for close to 40 years. After retirement from his business, Larry worked for his nephew John at Direnzo Towing & Recovery where he was known to many as “Uncle.” He enjoyed having dinner out with family and friends and was a favorite of the wait staff everywhere he went. Larry loved bowling softball and belonged to many local leagues. He loved his local Boston sports teams and enjoyed Sundays at home with his loving wife Mary. Larry loved his family and he will be greatly missed by all. Family and friends will honor and remember Larry’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Sunday, Feb. 17th from 3 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18th in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street in Worcester. Burial will follow at W.C.M.P in Paxton. |
