Robert F. Cicio, “Togo” as he was known to family and friends, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 following a period of declining health. He was born in Boston, a son of the late James and Frances (Pratt) Cicio. He has lived in Worcester for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, Bob was a warehouse supervisor for Imperial Distributors in Auburn for many years. He previously worked for the Family Fair Company. He also was a talented cabinet maker. As a young man, Bob was a talented baseball player. He also enjoyed playing tennis and golf, especially playing in his weekly golf league. He enjoyed traveling, especially his many cruises and visiting Hawaii, as well as summer vacations at Hampton Beach. Bob was a loyal fan of the Boston sports teams, and enjoyed watching their games. A faith filled Catholic, Bob was a longtime member of Saint Peter’s Parish in Worcester. He also enjoyed participating in several men’s retreats with his fellow parishioners. Bob served as a Boy Scout leader when his three sons were young. Bob’s beloved wife, Gail E. (Wood) died in 2013. Together they shared 56 years of marriage. Sadly, he was also predeceased by his son, Robert F. Cicio, Jr. in 2002. He will be forever loved and missed by his two sons, Stephen A. Cicio and his wife, Terry of Methuen and Michael J. Cicio and his wife, Loretta of Hampstead, NH; his sister, Virginia Foley and her husband, John of Worcester. He was the proud grandfather to his seven grandchildren, Cory, Mellissa, Nicole, Jared, Zachary, Emily and Joshua as well as several great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to remember Bob’s treasured life during his Life Celebration visitation on Sunday, October 21st from 2-4 p.m. at the Callahan, Fay and Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. His funeral will be held on Monday, October 22nd from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. If desired, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the St. Peter’s Parish Building Fund, 929 Main St., Worcester, MA. 01610. |
