Frederick A. “Fred” Randell, 88, of Worcester, died Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital. His wife, Louise (Flavin) Randell, died in 1987. He leaves two brothers, Bernard “Bernie” Randell and his wife Mary of Worcester, and Ernest “Ernie” Randell and his wife Mary Jane of Sutton; many nieces and nephews and their families, especially his special niece Maryjo Randell of Worcester. He also leaves all his in-laws in the Flavin family. He was predeceased by two brothers, William Randell and his wife Florence, and Robert “Pete” Randell, and a sister Priscilla May Goodless and her husband Harold. He was born in Boston, son of Chesley A. and Josephine A. (Ryan) Randell. Fred was a maintenance worker for over 50 years at Worcester State University. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Tatnuck First Congregational Church. He loved his family and attended every family function. He had a love for nature and animals. Fred was the last registered farmer in the City of Worcester. He loved his McDonald’s and Wendy’s breakfast and luncheon groups. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave. Burial with military honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave, Paxton.
