John Thomas Keisling, 95, of Worcester passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 with his family in Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by his godson and nephew Peter J. Cassanelli Jr. and his wife Ellen of Marlborough and many loving great nieces and great nephews. He is predeceased by his two sisters, Celia Cassanelli and Irene Robbio. He was born in Worcester a son of John and Mary (Riley) Keisling.
Mr. Keisling was a die polisher for J.J. Adams Die Company for over forty years prior to retiring in 1987. He graduated from the former Worcester Commerce High School and later served in the US Navy during World War II. In his day, he enjoyed flying planes for many years as well as being outdoors and fishing. John was a contributor to the Telegram “People’s Forum” for many years. He also was an avid dancer. John’s family was the highlight of his life and the core of his spirit and as they gave him much joy, he brought joy to them throughout the many years.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all the amazing caretakers of Beaumont Nursing Home who have been devoted to Johnny for so many years.
The funeral will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial with be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday November 27, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
