Jeanne B. “Twinnie” (Dumas) Gervais, 83, of Worcester passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday April 22, 2017 at UMASS Medical Center. She leaves her loving husband Donald Gervais with whom she would have observed their 60th wedding anniversary on June 29th. She also leaves her loving children and their families, Paul, LeeAnn, Gabrielle and Sydney Gervais of West Boylston; Stephen, Paula, Matthew and John Gervais of Spencer; Nancy, Paul, Daniel, Brittney and Emily Boisvert of Worcester and Carolyn, Ray and Ashley Parker of Worcester; her sisters, Anita Burque, Muriel Dunford, her twin sister, Gloria Kaczynski and Dolores Dumas and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and special friends, Kathy Gervais, Barbara Boisvert and Rita Galvin and “the club “. She was predeceased by two brothers Robert and Donald Dumas and one sister, Sr. Doris Dumas. Jeanne was born in Worcester on March 15, 1934, the daughter of Theodore and Eva Dumas and has lived here all of her life. Jeanne graduated from St. Stephen’s High School. She worked at Thom McAn Shoe Co., for many years until she retired. She was a Life member of the DAV Auxiliary and a member of Teamsters Local 170. The family would like to thank all her caregivers and Doctors, 6 west & DaVita, Drs, Massarelli, Alfred and Arous. She loved bingo back in the day, camping, spending time with family & friends and shopping at T. J. Maxx. All are invited to calling hours on Wednesday April 26, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in DIRSA – MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester. The Celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held on Thursday April 27, 2107 from the funeral home with her funeral Mass at 1:00 PM in St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 357 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in Jeanne’s memory to Abby’s House, 52 High St., Worcester, Ma., 01609. |
