Kenneth F. Kaminski, 73, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Thursday, February 16, 2017 after an illness. Born and raised in Worcester, Ken was son of the late Francis J. and Frances J. (Caika) Kaminski and lived over 40 years in Holden. He will be affectionately remembered and missed by his wife of 18 years, Marie C. (Cervini) Kaminski; three sons, Kenneth J. Kaminski and his wife, Anne of Sutton, David M. Kaminski and his wife, Glenda of Holden and Michael F. Kaminski and his fiancé, Linda J. Schutte of Holden; two step daughters, Kristin M. and Korie E. Ferris both of Holden; two sisters, Linda F. Aho and her husband, John of Holden and Donna M. Laramee and her husband, Kenneth of Leicester; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Peter, Frank, Julie, Dylan, Andrew, Emily and Madison, several nephews and nieces; his longtime friend, Dickie Michaelson; and his beloved furry friends and companions, Charlie and Kotie. Ken was a machinist at a several local companies including Chas G. Allen Co. in Barre and George Meyer. He also owned and operated Holden Stove Co. for several years. Ken enjoyed the last several years working as a self-employed contractor as well as building several homes for himself and his children. He was a true outdoorsman and looked forward to spending time hunting, fishing and camping. First and foremost, Ken was a family man. He enjoyed family outings and traveling with his wife Marie to Las Vegas. Ken was selfless by nature and cherished time spent with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Ken’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Jewish Healthcare Hospice for the compassionate in-home care and guidance. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ken’s family from 5 to 8 pm on Monday, February 20, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service honoring his life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 21, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
