Marlene E. (Gundry) Queally, 81, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Feb. 12th at the Odd Fellows Home in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Queally who passed in 1984. Marlene will be deeply missed by her three children whom she leaves, Laurie Stevens of Millbury, Thomas John Queally and his wife, Janet of Sutton and Susan Queally-Demers and her husband, Michael Demers of Millbury; seven loving grandchildren who she cared for and adored through their childhoods, Paul Stevens, Shawn Stevens, Cassandra Demers, Danny Demers, Kevin Queally, Keith Queally and Michael Hennessy. She also leaves behind two adorable great grandchildren, Shawn and Natalia. Marlene was born in Barre, VT to Adeline and Walter Gundry. She was the oldest of six children. She moved to Worcester at the age of 16 to seek employment to help her parents provide and care for her younger siblings. This started her hard work ethic that lasted throughout her life, providing for her family and children. She was predeceased by her loving brothers and sisters, twins Wanda Gordon and Walter Gundry, Kathlyn Metallic and Sherman Gundry. She leaves behind her youngest brother, Ray Gundry of Worcester. Marlene was a sweet, funny, strong lady who was adored by her three children, family and all who knew her as a kind, loving and caring spirit. She loved spending time with her family. Her children are comforted to know that she is reunited with her husband, parents and siblings, all of which she greatly missed. Marlene’s calling hours will be held on Friday, Feb. 17th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18th at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park. |
