Florence H. (Boltruczyk) Randell, 84, of Worcester, passed away peacefully Sunday October 30, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Hospital after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. Florence was married for 39 years to William M. Randell Sr., who died in 1995. She leaves behind her four children, Patricia A. Randell and her husband William McCarty of New York City, Lt. Col. Carol L. Randell and her husband Brian Walker of Maryland, Cynthia M. Randell and her husband William Peloquin of California and William M. Randell Jr. and his wife Vanessa Costa of Holden, MA. She also leaves behind her three grandchildren, Matthew Bentley, Naomi Walker and Vangella Randell and many nieces and nephews; her sister, Helen H. Paquet; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane Boltruczyk, Bernard and Mary Randell, and Fred Randell all of Worcester, and Ernest and Maryjane Randell of Sutton. MA. She is predeceased by her brother Edward A. Boltruczyk and two sisters, Jean H. Dumas and Stella H. Mezynski. Florence was a graduate of the former Commerce High School, Worcester. Florence and her husband owned and operated several businesses over the years including Randell Trucking and Randell Package Store, where they were a fixture in the neighborhood for over 40 years. She was a long time parishioner of Christ the King Church, and an active member of the choir since 1981. Her love of music expanded when she took up the piano at age sixty. Florence and Bill were accomplished dance partners for over 40 years. Florence loved playing the piano, reading, walking with her dog ChiChi, and taking day trips to the beach. She was a loving and caring person who will be missed by all her family, friends and the many lives she touched with her generous spirit and open heart. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A celebration to honor Florence’s life will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Val’s Restaurant, 75 Reservoir Street in Holden. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Worcester, MA 01602. |
