Helena “Connie” (Bucciaglia) Hubbard, 80, of Worcester passed away Monday, June 6th 2016 with the family she loved gathered at her bedside. Connie is survived by her three daughters, Robin Daviau, Judith Belculfine and Cynthia Belculfine All of Worcester; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother and two sisters; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A great granddaughter, a brother and a sister all pre deceased her. Connie was born in Worcester, a daughter of Samuel and Lena (Engel) Bucciaglia. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived here all her life. Connie worked more than 14 years as a Service Associate for the Umass Medical Center before retiring in 2004. Connie was a member of Saint Anne’s Church, Lake Towers Association and a member and volunteer of the Worcester Senior Center. She was a member of the former St Margaret Mary Church. Connie was the driving force and backbone behind our family. Nothing or nobody came before them. She was unwavering in her faith and dedication to them and her friends. She loved a good conversation, stuck to her beliefs and had very specific views on all things. She was a beautiful lady who had room in her heart for everyone. Connie’s funeral will be held Friday, June 10th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a procession to the Church of Saint Anne, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd., Shrewsbury where her celebration of life Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m in the funeral home prior to departing for church.
