Roger D. Bacon, 89, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2016. He leaves his wife of 68 years Marguerite M. (Stewart) Bacon; 2 daughters Peggy Bacon & Joe Farrell, Sr. of Brookfield; Linda Jaskoviak & her husband Kirk of Hardwick ; 2 sons Steven Bacon & his wife of Brimfield & Stewart Bacon & his wife Pat of West Brookfield; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; a niece Sherilyn Poet of PA. and cousins. Roger was an Army Veteran of WWII in occupied Japan as a Staff Sergeant. He worked as a cattle hoof trimmer and owned and operated Roma-View Farm in Brookfield. He was well known and a member of multiple cattle assoc. throughout the country. He raised 2 oxen that ultimately went on to Hollywood for the movie “The Way West”. He was an avid reader and had a passion for all animals especially his dogs. He leaves behind his four legged friends Daisy, Rosie, Blue and JJ. Friends and family are invited to attend a calling hour from 10-11AM on Monday, May 16,2016 in Pillsbury Funeral Home 3 West Brookfield Rd. Brookfield. To celebrate his life all are welcome to wear the farm colors black and red. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. |
