Francis A. Eagleton, Jr., 76, of Worcester died unexpectedly from a brief illness on Saturday, August 29th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Winifred F. (Veroneau) Eagleton; a son, Anthony J. Eagleton; two daughters, Doreen F. Levins and Patricia A. Eagleton all of Worcester; two brothers, John M. Eagleton and his wife, Doreen of Duluth, MN and Mark D. Eagleton and his wife, Penny of Millbury; three grandchildren, Brody Eagleton of Worcester; Justin Levins of FL and Dylan Marengo of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Anne L. Toscano, Donna M. Brady and Kathleen Eagleton.
He was born in Worcester the son of Francis A. Eagleton, Sr. and Cinderella (Campaniello) Eagleton. Francis co-owned Ready Lube with his brothers until he retired. He previously worked as an assembler with General Motors and as a foreman with Smith Valve Corp. for 27 years until they closed. Mr. Eagleton was a member of the National Guard for 8 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and the Leicester Knights of Columbus. Francis enjoyed spending winters in Florida and loved to maintain his yard as well as his neighbor’s yards. In his spare time he restored a 1967 Mustang. He was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.

His funeral is Thursday, September 3rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 2nd from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
