B. Annabelle (Dean) Dostoler, 82 of Worcester, died peacefully at Knollwood Nursing Center on May 22, 2015. Her husband of 48 years, Robert F. Dostoler died in 2002. She was born Barbara Annabelle Dean in Hopkinton, R.I., the daughter of the late Sidney T. Dean, Jr. and Viola (Howland) Dean. Annabelle graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and had worked as a bank teller at the former Northeast Savings Bank for many years. Annabelle is survived by her two daughters, Debra D. Arey and her husband Bruce of North Grafton and Denise A. Dostoler of Mystic, CT; her two granddaughters, Allison Arey Melo and her husband Rubens of Orlando, FL and Adrienne Arey Murray and her husband Zachary Murray of Stevensville, MD; her two great grandchildren, Lynda Sofia Melo and Jonah Robert Murray; a sister, Lynda Burgeron of Chatsworth, GA; two sister-in-laws, Beverly Dean of Worcester and Donna Dean of New Hampshire; a brother-in-law, Skip Taylor of Rutland; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Annabelle was predeceased by her daughter, Gloria Jean Dostoler, and her three brothers, Sidney, Ralph, and Spencer Dean. Annabelle was a long time member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and participated as a volunteer in many church activities. She was always full of fun and laughter and one who never took life too seriously. Annabelle always made people laugh and would brighten everyone’s day. Family, friends, and others whose lives Annabelle touched are invited to MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Annabelle’s Funeral Service will be celebrated the following day at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 114 Main Street Worcester. Please go directly to church. Annabelle will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband and daughter in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
