Henry J. LeBlanc, 80, passed away January 7, 2015 after a period of declining health. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn (Army) LeBlanc, his daughter Michelle LeBlanc and Gilbert Olivares, his grandson Tyler Moore, brothers Rene LeBlanc and his wife Marcia, Raymond LeBlanc and his wife Charlotte and his sister Lucienne Gustafson and sister-in-law Madeleine LeBlanc along with many nieces and nephews. His brother Roger LeBlanc and sisters Theresa O’Connor and Marie Greene predeceased him. Henry was born February 11, 1934 in Worcester, son of the late Antoinette (Allard) and Wilfred J. LeBlanc. He grew up in the Grafton Hill neighborhood in Worcester and attended Holy Name High School. Always hardworking, Henry got his first job while still in high school, doing his part to help support his big family. He served with pride in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and following his military service worked as an orderly in healthcare for more than 30 years at the Grafton State Hospital, Memorial Hospital and more recently Saint Vincent Hospital. Prior to retiring he worked at Shaw’s Supermarket. Henry lived in Grafton for 36 years before moving to Auburn just over a year ago. Without question Henry’s greatest gift was time spent with the people he loved; you could often find him with his grandson Tyler at the movies or going out to eat or at the table playing cards, especially cribbage, with his brothers. He also was constantly working on jigsaw or crossword puzzles when he could find the time. In lieu of flowers his family asks that you honor Henry with donations to St. Andrew’s Church 53 N. Main St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. CALLING HOURS & FUNERAL SERVICE |
