LILLIAN A. BOISVERT (GEMME)

     Lillian Alma (Gemme) Boisvert, 96, died peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, March 12, 2015 and is now with her loving husband of 34 years, Arthur P. Boisvert who died in 1981.

She leaves three sons, William P. Boisvert and his wife April of Holden; Robert M. Boisvert and his wife Doreen of Westford and Martin J. Boisvert and his wife Lori of Webster; two daughters, Constance M. Beahn of Whitinsville and Denise C. Johnson and her husband David of Williamsburg, MA., seven grandchildren, Shannon Bronzo and her husband Mark, Shawn Beahn, Jaclyn Beahn, Christine Boisvert, Melissa Boisvert, Michael Boisvert and Joseph Boisvert, two great-grandchildren, Max Bronzo and Anthony Bronzo. Lillian was predeceased by an infant granddaughter, Catherine Alma Beahn in 1974. Lillian also leaves two brothers, Henry W. Gemme, Jr., and his wife Claire, and George J. Gemme and his wife Anna, three sisters, Sr. Constance Gemme, Missionary Sister of Our Lady of Africa, Anne M. Berthiaume and Lorraine T. Boucher, she is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Ann Gemme and Yvette Gemme Brodeur and many cousins, nephews and nieces. She was also predeceased by four sisters and three brothers, Sr. M. Irena (Therese M. Gemme), Sr. Marguerite Gemme, both of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa, Claire A. Sevigny and Irene C. Gemme who died on March 5, also William Henry (Little Billy) Gemme, Leon H. Gemme and William Paul Gemme. Born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Henry W. Gemme, Sr., and Clara C. (Bolduc) Gemme she has lived in Worcester all of her life. Lillian graduated from St. Joseph’s School and it’s High School business course and graduated from St. Anne’s Academy, Marlboro.

Mrs. Boisvert was employed as a Medical Secretary and office assistant many years ago. She served as a volunteer Red Cross nurse’s aide in local hospitals during World War II. A lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Worcester, Lillian had a passion for arts & crafts and used her creativity in her own projects as well as to lead activities while serving at the St. Joseph’s Children’s Ministry. She was a member of the parish History Committee and a member and longtime treasurer of the Society of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was also a parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church, Worcester and a member of its Scripture Study Group and Rosary Prayer Group. The family wishes to thank Notre Dame du Lac, Sterling Village and Brookhaven Hospice for the wonderful care given to Lillian.

The funeral will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M.
