TERESA M. WILLIAMSON (LOBLEY)

     Teresa (Lobley) Williamson, 85, of Paxton died peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, University Campus, Worcester. Teresa was raised in Montague City, the daughter of Harry and Margaret Mary (Mullen) Lobley and had lived in Paxton for over 60 years.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Andrew J. Williamson of Paxton; a son, James F. Williamson and his wife, Doris; three daughters, Kathleen Williamson Tarkiainen and her husband, Alan, Mary M. Williamson and her husband, Michael James McKay and Suzanne Oakley; a brother, George H. Lobley and his wife, Marge; four grandchildren, Steven A. and Scott M. Williamson and Shannon L. and Megan M. McKay.

Teresa graduated from Turners Falls High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts in education from the College of Our Lady of the Elms in Chicopee. Her career began in the Turners Falls and West Brookfield Public Schools. She later taught grades K through 2 at the Paxton Public Schools,and the Burgess Elementary School in Sturbridge. She was a gifted pianist and vocalist and had served as the organist and soloist at St. Columba Church in Paxton. Teresa was an avid reader and enjoyed meetings with the book club at Richards Memorial Library in Paxton. She was also a member of the Paxton Women’s Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 30th at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral will be held Saturday, January 31st, from the funeral home, with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Columba Church, 18 Richards Ave., Paxton. Interment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O.
