HANNAH S EDWARDS (HORSTMAN)

      Hannah (Horstman) Edwards, 75, of Old West Brookfield Rd., died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at her home.

She leaves two sons, George L. Edwards, Jr. of West Brookfield and Richard Edwards of Princeton; two daughters, Ellen Varnum of Brookfield and Janet Edwards of North Brookfield; two sisters, June Sloan and Harriet Stark of Holden; six grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her husband of 51 years, George L. Edwards, Sr., died in 2003. She was born in Holden, daughter of the late Charles and Jenney (Stearns) Horstman and grew up there and later lived 17 years in Oakham before moving to North Brookfield in 1966.

Mrs. Edwards was a proud dairy farmer for 53 years, and owned and operated the Edwards Farm with her husband.

Mrs. Edwards was the milk inspector for the Town of North Brookfield for 33 years. She was also a member of Agrimark and a former member of the 4-H and the North Brookfield Grange.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 10:00 AM in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is directing arrangements.
