ARTHUR R JOHNSON

    Arthur R. Johnson, 75, of 20 Mount View Drive, an organist, died yesterday (April 17, 1994) in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Jessie A. (Horne) Johnson; two daughters, Margaret N. Slattery of Holden and Nancy A. Arciniegas of West Bloomfield, Mich.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Paul R. and Annie (Behmer) Johnson and lived there all his life before moving here in 1976. He graduated from North High School, Worcester. He worked 41 years at Norton Co. in Worcester, retiring in 1981.

    Mr. Johnson was a member of Greendale Peoples Church in Worcester, and its choir and Glee Club. He was also a member of Norton Co.’s 25 Year Club.

    Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours at the funeral home are 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greendale Peoples Church, 25 Francis St. Worcester, 01606.
