Subscription Update Obituary

     Winifred “Winnie” L. (Gough) Huberdault, 83, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2014, at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester with family at her bedside. Her husband Richard R. Huberdault died in 1988. She leaves her loving children, Linda Dowd and husband John of Leicester; Richard Huberdault and wife Patricia of Georgetown, ME; Donna Vandewater and husband Todd of Chichester, NH; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by four brothers and a sister. Born in Worcester and raised in Auburn, she was the daughter of William and Emma Louise (Nieberger) Gough. Winnie graduated from Auburn High School in 1950. Years ago, she worked at Laurence Candle Factory in Northborough. From 1973-83, she was employed at Quality Catering in Northborough. Mrs. Huberdault retired in 1994 from Seilers Food Corp. at Digital Equipment Corp. in Marlborough after five years of service. Her hobbies included: reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting, quilt making and trips to Foxwoods. Winnie loved camping in Westport, RI, Sebago Lake, ME and places by the ocean. She volunteered for more than 10 years at the Northborough Senior Center where she received many awards. Winnie adored her cat, Frisky.

Mrs. Huberdault’s calling hour and funeral will be held privately in Hays Funeral Home. Following the funeral, she will be laid to rest beside Dick in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Donations in Winnie’s memory may be made to Friends of the Northborough Senior Center, 119 Bearfoot Rd., Northborough, MA 01532.
