William H. “Jack” Mountain, 73, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Worcester on February 24, 1951, to the late Harold and Lillian (Greene) Mountain, Jack grew up in the Tatnuck area of Worcester and graduated from Worcester Technical High School in 1969.

Jack began his career with Maki Electric as an apprentice and later worked for LJ Grace Electric and Kitteridge & Sons before establishing his own business, William Mountain Electrical Co. Jack married the love of his life, Kathleen, and together they made homes in Holden, Florida, and eventually Webster. He had a deep affection for his red 1979 Ford F-100 and was a talented woodworker. Above all, Jack cherished his time with family and took immense pride in being a grandfather.

Jack will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 43 years, Kathleen (Hennessey) Mountain; his sons, Abraham Mountain and his wife, Amy of Webster, Samuel Mountain of Spencer, and Michael Mountain and his wife, Maria Robinson-Mountain of Worcester; and his cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie and Olivia Mountain. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his son, Benjamin Mountain; his daughter, Jessica Mountain; and his two brothers and four sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606, or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
