Virginia Lois (Larson) Scott, 83, of Charlton, MA, went home to be with Jesus Saturday Morning on March 7, 2015. She was born in Worcester, MA to Jennie and Swante Larson. Lois leaves behind her loving husband of 39 years, Jack Scott, her two daughters Donna (Bennett) Bracken of North Brookfield, and Lisa (Bennett) Rogers of Sturbridge, her two step daughters Tracy (Scott) Lucky, and Leslie (Scott) Abdow, her two step sons David and Jimmy Scott, one brother Dennis Larson, nieces and nephews, as well as 15 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Lois was predeceased by her two eldest children Deborah (Messier) Chase in 2012 and David Bennett in 2014.

Lois had many accomplishments throughout her years. She was a cancer survivor, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a supporter of missions both local and international and co-founder of the SWCLA (Southern Worcester County Landlord’s Association). Lois was also very generous in her donations to charitable causes such as The Food Pantry and the advancement of cancer research. What Lois loved most was spending time with her family, crafting, reading, playing cards and going to yard sales. It was Lois’ deep faith in the Lord that moved her to own and co-found Blessings Farm in Charlton, MA, a non-profit equine ministry for under privileged children. She will be greatly missed.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for charitable donations to Lois’ favorite mission, Blessings Farm, 50 H Foote Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
