Thomas “Tommy” Kerr passed away September 28, 2021 in Fort Myers, FL. after a long illness. He was born on February 8, 1953 in Worcester, MA. where he lived most of his life until 2014 when he moved to Fort Myers.

Thomas is survived by his sister, Elaine (Kerr) Rousseau and her husband Steven of Shrewsbury, their children, Michael Rousseau of Sherborn and Danielle (Rousseau) Lemelin of Rutland, his niece Kara Richardson and her son Kenneth A. Jackson, of Worcester with whom he was very close to the past decade, a niece Lindsay (Kerr) Doherty and a nephew Keith Kerr, a close friend and roommate, Steve, of Fort Myers with whom he shared many fun memories and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth G. Kerr (November 3, 2012) and Lucy J. (Nalewski) Kerr (June 3, 1984), his brother Kenneth G. Kerr Jr. (May 26, 2007) and sister Sharon A. Richardson (September 16, 2004).

Thomas was educated in Worcester and attended Burncoat High School. As a young child he enjoyed being a member of the local Boy Scouts. In his adult years, assisted his father as a painter and wallpaper contractor in the Worcester area and enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching westerns and going to the racetrack with friends. Before moving to Fort Myers, Thomas helped care for his beloved father Kenneth at home cooking, running errands and taking him to appointments.

He was independent, strong willed and a “tell it like it is guy”. His biggest accomplishment was his recovery over the last decade. He returned this support to his Florida AA group, helping with maintenance and cooking big meals, which he loved to do.

Thomas will be missed and forever loved. A graveside burial service is scheduled for October 23, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. where he will rest eternally among family. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
