Thomas J. Pierre, 48, died Wednesday, December 13th. He leaves his wife and best friend, Janet (LaPointe) Courchaine Pierre; his daughter, Alison Pierre; his step-son, Thomas Courchaine; his furry and feathered “babies”, Chucky, Babealou, and Angel, and a large extended family.

Tom was an excellent south-paw pitcher throughout his youth. Tom tried out for the Red Sox in 1975. He struck out every batter he faced and he made it to the final 30. He was a devoted Red Sox fan and his greatest thrill was being present at Fenway for game 4 of the 2004 ALCS as well as sharing the joy of the Red Sox World Series victory with his wife, Janet.

Tom was a loyal, devoted, and loving individual whose intentions were always good. No kinder human being ever walked this earth. To be loved by him was a gift from God. He will be oh so missed by all those that loved him back.

The funeral is Wednesday, December 20th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. oconnorbrothers.com

Some souls are just too fragile for this world but what’s real can’t die. Opening Day will never be the same again without you and its coming will always remind me of you. Until we meet again at the Old Ball Park. Save me the seat next to you. Love you Babe!
