Subscription Update Obituary

Thomas J. Carrigan Sr., 69, of Fitchburg, died at home Tuesday, June 29, 2021, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Worcester on January 23, 1952, son of the late John E. and Barbara L. (Martin) Carrigan.

Tom was a graduate of St. Stephen High School. He worked as a sheet metal fabricator until changing careers as a long haul truck driver for many years. His hobbies were (ice) fishing, hunting and playing the lottery. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his wife, Susan S. (Lucason) Carrigan with whom he will be spending their 50th wedding anniversary in heaven next month; three children, Sheryl L. Carrigan and her husband Eric J. Murphy of Port Orange, FL; Thomas J. Carrigan Jr and his wife Francine M. Carrigan of Ashburnham and Stacey M. Lambert and her husband Joseph R. Lambert of Fitchburg; a brother, Edward Carrigan of New Hampshire; a sister, Joyce Powers of Paxton; three grandchildren, Amanda, Jac and Olivea; two great grandchildren, Ethan and Sawyer and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 11 A.M. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville.

A calling hour will be held in the church Tuesday from 10 to 11 A.M. preceding the mass.

Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon is directing arrangements.
