Subscription Update Obituary

     Thomas A. Tartufi 63 of Worcester died Sunday December 20, 2020 at UMass hospital Worcester.  Born in Norfolk Virginia, he was the son of Joseph and Nancy (Mackinnon) Tartufi.

Tom leaves his wife of 39 years Marie (Daigneault) Tartufi, two daughters, Rachael Tartufi and Stephanie Flood and her husband Michael, two sisters, Nancy Cullen and her husband Bill, Christine Starrett and her husband Robert, and three grandchildren, Katherine Flood, Aubrey Tartufi, and Edmond Paradise.

Tom worked as a forklift operator for many years at local companies, including TJ Maxx, Data General and Kens Foods.  He retired in 2008 due to illness.  He enjoyed family trips to Walt Disney World and cruising with his wife on Disney Cruise Line. Tom was a life-long diehard New England sports fan, especially the Red Sox and Patriots.

Calling hours for Tom will be held on Monday December 28, 2020 from 4-7pm at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester, Ma 01605.  A funeral service will be on Tuesday at 10am at the funeral home followed by burial at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.

COVID precautions including no physical contact, face masks and social distancing will be observed at all services.

In memory of Tom please consider making memorial donations to Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton or Last Hope K9 Rescue of Boston in lieu of flowers.
