Theresa C. Scarrci (Szczurko) 90, formerly of Worcester Ma., passed away Saturday, July 21sr at Mission Hill Hospital, Ca.
Theresa’s world revolved around her family. She was a devoted mother to her three precious children. Her happiest moments were those spent with her children and grandchildren.
Theresa was preceded in death by the love of her life Anthony “Tony” Scarrci nearly 30 years ago. Theresa remained devoted to her husband until they could be together for eternity.
Theresa is survived by her three children and their spouses, Angela (Joe) Turnage, Donna (Gregory) Fenderson and John (Diana)Scarrci and brother Daniel Szczurko. And God Daughter Lisa Osborne. Theresa was also blessed to be Nana to six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Theresa was also preceded in death by her parents Jacob and Ceclia (Marzopa) Szczurko, brothers, Alfred J. Simmons and Frank Szczurko and sisters, Helen S. Evanowski, Dorothy R. Tufano and Mary M. Muir, and two very special friends Barbara Wheeler and Vinnie Coridori.
Theresa worked at Daypo Plastics and later as a bus monitor for Worcester Public Schools. Theresa was an active member of Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Worcester.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 3rd at Fazio Funeral Home located at 9 Branch Street in Worcester. Visitation will be Friday, August 3rd from 9:30-10:30 Am. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish at Our Lady of Loreto Church. Interment will be at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Louis M. Fazio III.
