Theresa Agnes (Mikolajczyk) Girouard, 95, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late, Maurice E. Girouard.

Born March 29, 1929 in Worcester, MA to the late Felix and Emily (Miszkiel) Mikolajczyk. Raised in Worcester, Theresa was a graduate of David Hale Fanning Trade School for Girls. She went on to work for Telechron Clock, Mechanics Bank, and Wyman Gordon in varied positions.

Theresa had a strong faith in Jesus and the Catholic Church. Her greatest joy in life was a beautiful life-long romance with her husband, Moe, and a great love for her children, grand, and great grandchildren.

Theresa is survived by her loving children, Dianne Tymon and her husband John, Donna Nelson and her husband Edward, and her twin sons, Stephen Girouard and his wife Lori, and Russell Girouard; her adored grandchildren, Derek Tymon and his fiancée Courtney Tobey, Dillon Tymon and his fiancée Shawna Baker, Nicole Girouard and her husband Matt Stafford, Rachel Girouard and her fiancée Isaac Knight, and Kurt Nelson and his wife Barbara Nelson; and her dear great grandchildren, Avery Fisher and Levi Stafford. In addition to her husband and parents, Theresa was predeceased by her son, Michael Girouard and her siblings, Adele Dymek, Agnes Mikolajczyk, Emily Wisniewski, Jane Mita, Joseph Mikolajczyk, John Mikolajczyk, and Eleanor Lambert. Additionally, Theresa leaves many cherished nieces and nephews, both living and deceased.

The Girouard family would like to give a special thank you to the entire staff of St. Mary’s Health Care Center and JHC Hospice for their care and dedication to their beloved mother.

Family and friends are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for 11:00 a.m. at St. Columba Parish, 10 Richards Ave, Paxton. Theresa will be laid to rest immediately following Mass in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Theresa’s memory to St. Mary’s Health Care Center, Worcester and the Jewish Healthcare Hospice, Worcester.
