Subscription Update Obituary

     Sullivan E. Paradise, 97, of Pensacola, FL formerly of Worcester passed away Saturday, August 12.

His wife, Madeline R. (Letour) Paradise died in 1997. He leaves a daughter, Simone M. Walsh and her husband, Thomas of Auburn; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, among them his longtime caregiver, Terry Ann Jeffers of Pensacola, FL. Two sons, Frank D. Paradise and Robert E. Paradise; a daughter, Susan M. Paradise; a brother, Leon Paradise and three sisters, Gertrude Conrad, Gladys Davis and Ann Clark all predeceased him. He was born in Worcester son of Sullivan and Josephine (Tatro) Paradise. He served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Iowa in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre.

Sullivan worked in the Forge Shop for the Wyman Gordon Company for 25 years, retiring in 1981, before moving to Florida with his wife in 1990. He was a former member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and the Vernon Hill American Legion Post #435.

A Funeral will be held Friday, August 18 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 11AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There will be a Visiting Hour from 9:30 to 10:30AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church.
